How to reach us
The fastest route is from inside the app. Write from the Report tab and the reply comes back to the same tab. It works without signing in — both the message and the answer.
Email works too. Bug reports, corrections to restroom data and partnership enquiries are all welcome. Telling us your device (iPhone / Android) and which screen the problem happened on makes it much quicker to track down.
Frequently asked questions
Does it cost anything?
No. KORE is free, with no subscription and no in-app purchases.
Do I need an account?
Most of the app works without one: browsing the map, adding a restroom, suggesting an edit, writing a review and competing on the game boards.
The only feature that needs an account is the "only me" marker — a private marker has to have an owner, so it needs a sign-in.
Do I have to allow location access?
It's optional. With it, the map opens where you are and every result shows how far away it is, including the "three nearest restrooms" card on Home. Without it you can still pan the map anywhere in Korea.
Location is used only while you are using the app — never in the background.
Some information is wrong, or a restroom is missing.
Tap the pin and send an edit suggestion. If the place isn't on the map at all, use the ＋ button at the bottom right of the map to add it.
Submissions are reviewed before they go live, and the outcome comes back to you in the Report tab. Approved additions also count toward the contributor board.
What do the pin colours mean?
- Red — an ordinary restroom
- Blue — a clean restroom (the deeper the blue, the cleaner)
- Yellow — nearest to you
- Green — a search result
- Teal — your own "only me" marker
- Violet — an address you searched for
The Marker guide at the top left of the map says the same thing in the app.
Can I see only the clean ones?
Yes — the "Clean only" pill next to the marker guide leaves nothing but the blue pins. Tap it again to bring the rest back.
How does navigation work?
The walking route button on a pin's detail sheet draws the way there inside the app. If you need to drive, the TMAP · KakaoMap · Naver Map buttons below it hand the destination to the app you already use.
How do I change the language?
In the Settings tab. KORE supports 한국어, English, 日本語, 简体中文, 繁體中文, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, Bahasa Melayu and Filipino — and it isn't only the buttons: restroom names, addresses, facility details and reviews change with it.
Who can see my reviews?
A review on a published restroom is visible to everyone. It is stored in the language you wrote it in and translated into the other eight. You can edit or delete your own at any time. Reviews show the nickname from Settings, or "Anonymous" if you haven't set one.
My game score didn't make the board.
Scores are saved online. On a flaky connection a round may not be recorded, and the app says so rather than pretending otherwise. The weekly board turns over every Monday (Korean time).
Deleting your account and data
In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. The account and its data are deleted immediately, and the nickname disappears from the contributor and game boards with it.
Restroom information that has already been approved and published stays, because it has become part of the map other people use. Reviews you wrote can be deleted from the app, or email us and we'll take care of it.

Where the data comes from
KORE's map is built from Korea's national public-restroom and public-library standard datasets (data.go.kr), store information published by each café brand, and restrooms contributed by users. If you spot something wrong, please tell us.
